I did it twice way back in the day and it was fun considering the times. You got to do something that was out of the norm, forum members would check in from various locations and it kept you 'company' over night, you could chat with fellow enthusiasts, there weren't pre-orders so it added to the excitement, but most of all the cell phone was not mature so it was far more exciting to get the new phone.

Same mine was 6 Plus and after that i did not stand in line.
I loved camping out. Met many interesting people, had some mind bending conversations, shared a cup of coffee with a few people, and had a guy give me a homemade churro one time.
What’s not to like!!!!
Nah~ I don't really like being in a crowded place.
I have my kids and my wife to interact with 😁

Ha! The last time I stayed overnight at an AT&T store was for the 6 plus! I was first in line, there were about 10 people by the am before opening. Not sure I would do it again because waiting and hoping that the store would have a 1TB gold 14 Pro max is a gamble. The closest Apple store is 1.5 hours away from me.
