Can anybody tell me if this is an okay, good, or great deal? I wont it really do anything heavy w/ it but I dont want to buy a mac mini and I already have a 20" LCD so that rules out the iMac. How long do you think this computer would be considered "fast" for? Because if I buy this, I dont want to buy another computer for 3 to 4 years. Thanks all..

At the rate Apple's going, this computer will last you for the rest of your life. But seriuosly, this is a blazing fast computer and it will give you 5 years of quality computing. At that price, you can't go wrong. Personally, I am getting the Dual 2.0GHz for $1,699.

That looks like a great deal to me. I have a Power Mac G4 that has lasted over four years already. You should purchase additional RAM and AppleCare.

Nice, but just note that it's a refurbish model. I would get AppleCare in case something goes wrong. And like what the rest is saying, get more RAMs!

Yeah you can wait to buy applecare for the refurbished units as long as you are still under the 1 year mark, just as you can with new units.
