Thinking of getting two 1 gig chips of RAM to put into the new Macbook---any idea where I could get them cheaper than upgrading to Apple?

Also, I'm unfamiliar with RAM types, etc so what am I looking for?

OK. Tonight I will create a Guide article for buying RAM if someone doesn't beat me to it. There are just too many of these threads. But... welcome to MR. :)

Until then:

Go to someplace reputable like Crucial (see link above marked "Crucial RAM"), OWC, etc.

Be sure to go somewhere they specifically indicate RAM is for your particular Mac, have a lifetime warranty, etc. Don't get bargain-basement RAM because it'll likely be problematic.
