Hey everyone, looking for a site where I can get RAM at a decent price. Looking to upgrade my iMac from 2GB to 4GB. I see Apple has the upgrade to $200, but is there anyplace else I can go to cut down on cost a bit.

Also, is there a specific kind I need. I purchased my iMac June 2008. Top of the line model for the time. Most of the specs are in my sig.

crucial and newegg tend to be popular and well priced!

Crucial will even point you to the type of RAM you need if you enter you Mac's type

There are a variety of places on line.

I've used Crucial before and had good luck with them.

    YMMV.

I use newegg.com. They have high ranks of customer satisfaction - I have always promoted them, their delivery service is awesome as well.

Newegg if you live in a state they don't charge sales tax in. Macsales.com is also great.

Thanks everyone!!! After getting finished with dinner I spent some time browsing New Egg, and I found this

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134671

From what I can tell, this will work for my model just fine. The model date it fits matches up with the time I bought mine.

Now all I need is the money to pay for it!!
