I purchased a 13' mid 2015 model MacBook pro in July 2015. I loved it so much I bought my wife a 15' MacBook pro for Christmas last year. She really didn't like it and wanted to go back to a windows machine. I told her I would sell my 13' and take her 15'. My old eyes like the bigger screen of the 15'. Where is a good place to sell a MacBook? I didn't know if posting for sell was allowed on this forum or not.

Swappa.com is a good place to sell it but since I work for Swappa I'm a bit biased :p

Swappa doesn't charge the seller a fee. The fee Swappa gets is added to your asking price. The fee is different depending on the asking price as the fees are tiered. So for example. Say you were asking $1000 for it, you would set your asking price to be $1000 but then Swappa will add a fee on to that price that the buyer pays. So the listing price would be $1035

I sold my Surface Pro 3 on Swappa. A lot less headaches then ebay.

Thanks for the replies. I will check out Swappa. Any idea what a 13' MacBook pro with 3.1Ghz processor, 256SSD drive and 8GB of memory is worth? I paid over $1700 for it back in July of '15.

You can look at what other people are selling them for on Swappa in that config. We also have a price history page that shows you what they are going for on Swappa: https://swappa.com/prices/apple-macbook-pro-2013-retina-13

But it looks like we don't have any pricing data on that version yet probably because no one sold one there yet

It will depend on condition.. You'll also suffer some price wise because the warranty has expired..

I don't know what it's worth sorry, but I'd assume as long as it's mint maybe $1200-1300'ish?

I was thinking of trying to sell it for about that so I will try. It is basically mint, not a scratch on it. I used it mostly for work and it rarely left my desk. I recently installed a fresh install of Sierra so it is ready to go.

One warning on Swappa... It's fast becoming worse than craigslist with low ballers and low ball offers... Expect craziness and people throwing out prices that will make you laugh..

We also provide much more of a service than eBay. Each listing is manually checked by a human and reviewed before we approve it. When I first started with Swappa I think there was like 8 or 9 of us. Now we are like double that

Bumping this old thread.

Is there any reason you don't allow sales of Macbook Pros older than 2011? Seems pretty stupid.
