Is there an app that you can launch that allows you turn anything that draws a lot of power off quickly? i.e. wi-fi, bluetooth etc...

Correct, App Store frameworks do not allow access to those areas of the device.

And this is really getting old with Apple! Also don't see the Memory management in 3.1 Apple talked about and removed the ability from Apps that I purchased so I could clear memory.

Boohoohoo. Go buy a My Touch, G1, or Blackberry if you want a fully open app store. But, that would ruin your fanboy status, so that will never happen.
