The article kind of fails with this comment:

"USB 3.0 performance is much improved over the previous generation MacBook Pro."

Uh, I don't doubt it since NO previous MBP had USB 3.0.

Thanks seb, will be looking closely to see ananadtech's final take on the 2.3 Retina machine.

Was interesting to see them running Diablo 3 at 2880x1800. 20 FPS on the 2.3. Salute worthy indeed. Wonder how the 2.6 or 2.7 will do at max res..

No worries. I don't think you will see a huge difference. At that resolution the game will be mainly GPU bound. I am not an expert on video games, but I do read the anandtech reviews. The one thing that's clear is that as the resolution goes up, the benchmarks become more and more GPU bound. At lower resolutions the CPU can make a difference, but not so much on the higher ones.
