Would you buy the original Apple Watch ss brand new with Link bracelet for 300€ (~320$) including tax?

Is it a good deal?

The link bracelet brand new is $450.00 alone. For $300.00, I would purchase it. The First Gen Watch is still a very productive Watch and mine have adapted well to the latest OS updates. I also think the first Gen Watch will last through Watch OS 4.

And the stainless model is my preference for the casing as well. I Own both the regular stainless and black stainless bracelets, to me, they are worth every cent if you appreciate that specific style.

Yes, bought a 38mm Silver with Link Bracelet BNIB for $350 about a month ago, you could say I even overpaid for mine

Sometimes you'll even see 42mm Space Black for $400

I have a Series 2. The performance is close enough that I'd rather wear a Series 0 SS Link Bracelet than a Series 2 Aluminum. Then you could swap that beautiful link bracelet to your Series 3 next year.

Hmm, sounds familiar

My son originally wanted my original 42mm SS Apple Watch when I got my new Series 2. Now he doesn't want it, so it sits gathering dust.

Does anyone think it is worth selling on CL or EBay with the Link Bracelet and maybe a few other bands for $400. Maybe the gen 2 saddlebrown leather band that I never used or liked?

Why doesn't he want it?

Who knows. He isn't the most reliable with charging his phone, let alone a Watch. I did give him three of my analog watches so he was fine with that.
Charging the watch is annoying, can partly understand

Not only do I have to charge a Smart Battery Case, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s, and laptop, I have to charge a watcho_O and these devices only last a day

If the OEM bands are in good condition and you bundle them together, you could easily make $400.00. Also, I would not sell on eBay for higher dollar items with the amount of fraud. Sell locally and you have the cash in hand. Good luck with the sale.

I'm not much of a gold bracelet type of person. What are you asking for price by chance?

Interesting to see this topic come up as I have been thinking about selling one of my S0 Space Black watches recently. I originally had a 42mm S0 Sport but stepped up the a Space Black with the link bracelet but switched sizes to the 38mm for something more professional and understated. I really love the 38mm size but happened to have a client who wanted to sell his 42mm S0 Space Black with black Sport band so he made me a good deal on that one. Now I have two and really don't need two watches.

Been trying to find the best place to sell but eBay seems full of scams and their sell fee is a little high. Craigslist has been a coin toss in my experience and I looked at Swappa but the pricing is ridiculously low and the offers that come in are lower than lowball.

So... what would anyone recommend in selling either a like new 38mm S0 SBSS with Apple Link, still under warranty or a 42mm S0 SBSS with black Apple Sport band with a few months of AppleCare Plus remaining. A few barely, barely there scuffs but everything else is perfectly fine. Both have their original boxes, accessories etc. 42mm also has a Moko link bracelet that is very nice - not Apple level but still really nice and a new third-party Nike look band.

And ideas on asking price or respectable places to sell would be much appreciated!

Avoid eBay. It's not worth it. You're at a risk with fraud. Your used first Gen 38MM with Apple Care would likely sell best with Craigslist with cash in hand, values around $100.00. Which I know seems low, but extra bands won't drive the price up. It's the market value of the Watch and the 38 MM isn't as popular as the larger Model.

Unfortunately, the first Gen Models have seriously declined over the last few months and will continue to do so.

Not sure you got the details of my post. Yesterday you were advising someone else that their SS with Apple Link bracelet should go for around $400 but today you said mine is worth $100 on Craigslist, same SS except mine is Spce Black and with OEM Apple Link bracelet. The bracelet alone is going for $200+ elsewhere online and the new cost for this was $1,049. No way is it worth that little!

No, I fully understood your post. The 38MM first generation Watch you own isn't worth nearly what the 42MM is based on overall popularity for one. Which, you also indicated you have some minor damage, which will affect the resale. And your other Moko band is generic and used, which has little to no value over OEM bands.

Also, the black stainless isn't as popular as the regular stainless from sales I have seen in the past online. And I own both stainless models for comparison.

Second, the other post you're referring to is a 42 MM Stainless bundled with other Apple OEM leather bands. It has a higher resale point paired with a link bracelet for obvious reasons.

Third, Best Buy was selling the 38 MM stainless link for $200.00 New without the Watch. So, if that's new in the box, your Watch won't fetch anywhere you think it's worth. Check eBay, prices for the 38MM are abysmal and Swappa is a joke for resale. Again, to avoid the fraud that is prevalent currently, local sale is the better option.

You're better off, in my opinion, selling the link Bracelet separate from the Watch if you can. You might sell those items quicker and generate more profit.

But the market is completely saturated with first Gen Watches. Series 1/2 have primarily taken over.

Don't think selling them separate is better
Some people (like me) see that the seller has a nicer watch, and also just wants to get a nice band right there

Plus, there's a bunch of ****** watch models and his will get mixed right in
There's 1M listings for a silver SS with a black Sport band
