Good quality retro game console?

What game console would you recommend for retro nes games? I found a company called Retrobit but their products had mixed reviews. I wish Nintendo still sold the old 80s consoles, I wouldn't mind paying a premium for good quality products.

There's the NES Mini https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Ni...ni-Nintendo-Entertainment-System-1124287.html , that you can now easily mod to run more NES games, and other consoles including the N64. It comes with about 30 famous ones and a solidly-built console and replica controller.

There's the Retron5 https://hyperkin.com/Retron5/ that uses genuine cartridges, dumps them, and runs them emulated.

There's also Nintendo's own new hardware, the Wii U https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Wii-U/Wii-U-344102.html but that's coming to an end soon. There's their 3DS handheld line of consoles https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Nintendo-3DS-Family/Nintendo-3DS-Family-94560.html - both the Wii U and 3DS run downloaded NES, SNES, and some other old platforms too depending on which console you get. Nintendo have a new console coming out soon called the Switch. But we don't know much about it.

NES MINI .... If you can find one.

Got mine yesterday and I have 150 games on it already with my favorite Genesis / SNES & NES games. It's awesome.
 
Thanks guys. I'm thinking about ordering the Retron5. I played it the other day at my friend's house, the graphics is ...less than desirable but I guess that I should have expected it for old games played on new TVs. Would emulators offer better resolutions? The constantly flickering is driving me nuts, will probably have hallucinations if I play too long.

What flickering? I didn't see flickering at the retrogaming store I saw it at...

Maybe it is some setting in the console or TV that caused the flickering.
