good router for file sharing

I have two macbook pros with Leopard sharing files between each other.
on occasion the internet will lock up during transfers

I have a Linksys wrt54G router

Is there a recommended router for sharing files

may below the $180 airport extreme price?

Get a gigabit ethernet switch and use gigabit ethernet cable. Harddrive speed.

Otherwise I strongly getting a wireless N router from Apple. The latest Airport Express also does wireless N.
