I'm about to bite the bullet and purchase a new Macbook Pro from Amazon. Do you guys think it's a good idea to buy one now so that I can enjoy it for the holidays instead of waiting until after Macworld in January? I wouldn't think there would be any updates to Apple notebooks anyway.

I'd say yes before the rebates and whatnot disappear.

Buy now and enjoy it; if money is an issue, postpone your purchase until after the next updates (possibly, but only possibly January) and then buy refurb. In any case, the MBP is a terrific computer and you'll enjoy it hugely.

    Cheers and good luck

    Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

They just did a refresh and there are rebates available so I'd say you should be good to go.

Agreed. I doubt Apple will do anything with the MB or MBP at MWSF.

Thanks everyone, I've waited a long time for this. I'll make my purchase tomorrow! I'll let everyone know when I make the order.
