good transcribe AUDIO to TEXT mac app

need app for mac to transcribe existing AUDIO voice recordings into TEXT.

Give the built-in Dictation / Enhanced Dictation a try before you go looking for an app. It can be found in System Preferences.

EDIT: You can use QuickTime Player to play the audio and the Mac's microphone together with Dictation for the conversion to text. Obviously this works best with low background noise.

this is on OSX maverick - don't even remember if that has dictation.

According to this article dictation was introduced in Mavericks. So you're good to go.
