I've also given up and looking at the iPod Touch 2G cases on Amazon. Granted the selection is limited, but it's the easiest place to start.

Hope they come up with more leather cases though.

I tried a number of cheapy cases (from Amazon / Ebay) before members here at MacRumors recommended the SwitchEasy products. I purchased the black RebelTouch for my iPod 2nd generation, and it's been a dream. Keeps my iPod touch safe and sound all day long, even in my pocket (with keys and various other objects). Well worth the price tag, if you ask me. I mean, you pay $20 to keep your $240 high-end iPod safe. 😛 Sounds like a bargain to me.
