I have the Apple Wireless Keyboard with Numpad which is 16" wide while my current wrist rest is over 17" wide This wastes space on my already crowded desk. Searching on Amazon has only led me to discontinued products that were 16" or slightly less in width.

Either my search skills suck or no one makes a gel wrist wrests for my keyboard.

I'd also be ok with a longer wrist rest that extends to cover my keyboard and trackpad, which would need to be at or slight less than 22.5" wide.

I ended up getting the Grifiti 17 Slim Pad along with a matching pad for my trackpad .
They feel great , and they are low to the desk , about 1/4 height of my previous pads.

I have a 3M gel mouse pad and Belkin foam keyboard pad before that. The keyboard pad was too tall and long . The mouse pad was too tall and the leathery material rubbed my skin until it was red in normal use.

The Grifiti’s are perfect . I’m getting another set for work.

I've been looking for a wrist rest for some time now that would fit with the Apple Wired Keyboard. I've order one in Poly Nylon and one in Smooth Rubber to see which I prefer.

Now to wait for it to shipped from the US to the Netherlands.

Right, they arrived yesterday (19th of September). So for anyone that is also outside of the United States, you get some idea of how long it takes to ship.

I'll post back later with which one I prefer, but from the off the smoother texture of the rubber (neoprene) does feel more comfortable to me.

Resurrecting this thread as I am in need of a wrist rest to go with the newest Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad -- so the extra-long one.

This is the most popular and well-reviewed wrist rest on Amazon.

Thing is, the Apple keyboard is low profile compared to mechanical keyboards. Not sure if this will be too high for my wrist when typing on a keyboard that is lower than the rest my wrist is sitting upon.

Maybe it doesn't matter? Anyone have thoughts?

Hi NJ,

I have those wrist wrests!
I use them for my job set up permanent desk, with a chunky high mechanical keyboard in place.

RE: Magic keyboard
Too high for me with the magic keyboard I'm afraid. the MK is really low profile, no wrist wrests needed actually

hope that helps

Martin,

Greatly appreciate this.

I would hate to use the Magic Keyboard without a wrist rest. However, I'll try it and see if I have any issues while doing so.

Again, I thank You for taking the time to answer -- especially owning one of the wrist rests I was looking at.

Hi NJ,

I know what you mean about wrist rests!

my desk got sooo worn under my right wrist.

in the end I got a XXL Gaming mouse pad to go under the keyboard, mouse etc.

Hope that helps

I just bought the Kensington wrist rest. The black one has been out of stock from Amazon but I purchased it from B&H Photo.

This is a perfect wrist rest for the slim Magic Keyboard

Thanks for the info guys! :)

I've been using the magic keyboard for the last week. Even though its ergonomically fine without a wrist rest, I have been finding pressure on the bony part of the palm, resting on the table as I type, even though I have been on a xxl thin neoprene like mouse matt this week. Maybe it is because I've been spoilt with gel wrist wrests all this time, with my high mechanical keyboard I use for work.

I'll have a ponder on the above, thanks!

Best wishes
Martin
