At that point why not just pay for youtube? Does what you want to do and is better for the environment because it doesn't need 1KW or whatever to infer the output.

Same here.

People ask me why I don’t use Chrome browser. I ask them why the hell anyone would use the Chrome browser.

Non-tech people don’t know/care. Google’s income depends on the amount of people now knowing/caring.

Chrome is probably the biggest piece of spyware software out there.

Sadly, its turning that way. I find myself more and more clicking on the 'don't recommend this channel' option way more than I ever did. Too many videos are AI generated, or AI voice-overs. I started figuring out the AI voice-over's, which are really good and hard to distinguish from human voices, when it would say a famous person's name, or a well-known location and mispronounce it.

Me too ... Just this morning I did that to 3 videos that were using AI Voice Overs.

I'd be perfectly happy if it took time to achieve this. Like "Watch now with ads or in 30 minutes suppressing ads?"

My reply appeared in my mind as a joke about the idea of one part of Alphabet providing the AI to defeat another part of Alphabet. Sure, the intensity of ads on YouTube is unbearable and that aspect was me being facetious.
