It seems like google is really trying to directly mimic apple's ecosystem concept. Personally, I cant wait for the new AirPods Pro, its time for an upgrade from the current model!

So much hate 😅

After installing a Nest Mini & Nest Hub in the house, i've appreciated having an actual voice assistant that works. Maybe I use it more than others, but the appeal of having Google Assistant on the go, & at the ready all day is huge.

I won't be getting them of course because i'm Apple-shackled, but these look like a winner to me.
Big Google is watching you 👁

I'm hoping Apple has something special planned for the updated AirPods Pro which can't come soon enough. The current ones are comfortably the least reliable and flakiest Apple product in a long time. I like my AirPods Max, the Pros are terrible...

Yeah, my Pros have been nothing but problems since I got them. I'm looking into a different brand. Maybe Sony.

Strange, I’ve had nothing but luck with my Pros (other than falling out while doing downward dog during yoga, but hey) but yours isn’t the first highly-unfavorable testimony I’ve come across. Sorry they haven’t worked for you. :(

Can’t wait for the AirPods Pro 2. Hopefully they address some of the more commonly-faced issues while building upon and improving the things we satisfied users already love.

Because it doesn't have the Apple logo, right? As if that's the only thing that matters.
The logo represents the brand which represents values which represents expectations. Does that mean blind loyalty, perhaps. However, I doubt that is why AirPods will continue selling better. Otherwise people would just sell apple stickers to sell their products.

If you want a slightly cheaper alternative, no one will stop you, but they may not applaud you either. Remember the Zune?

Exactly.
It’s easy to simply say that sheep will buy anything with the logo on it, but more and more that is proving to not be the case.
People do have expectations from the logo, and more likely than not they’re usually met.
But not always. For example the original HomePod, the 2013 trashcan MacPro, the 2016-18 MacBook line, etc.

My original HomePod (manufactured the first week of 2018, although I didn’t actually purchase until mid-2019) is still going strong and sounding great and has actually shaped up to be one of my most-loved Apple products ever. It just does everything better than my HomePod mini (which certainly shines in its own right) especially because I am not a Siri user.

You are absolutely correct about the Butterfly Keyboard fiasco, though. 🤮 Some might also say, going by HomePod logic, that a spot on that list could be reserved for the recent iPhones mini due to lackluster demand although they are generally great little devices, so actually maybe not on second thought. I adore my 13 mini 💚

WF1000 XM4's are superb buds if they fit your ears that is, I have fairly large ear's so they fit good & comfy and don't stick out to much neither, plus they are leagues ahead in both audio quality & ANC compared to the Air pods Pro.

Where the XM4's disappoint is in call quality they do the job, but they not a patch on how the Pro's handle calls & transparency is also better on the Pro's as well, but the XM4 have a great feature where they automatically switch to transparency as soon as you start speaking, which saves faffing about with finger pressing every time somebody starts speaking to you.

I will never buy any Google or Meta hardware. Yes, there have been privacy concerns about almost every tech company, but those are the two that are making most of their profits by exploiting personal data.

I don’t use Siri and I won’t use hey Google.

All I care about is sound quality and ease of pairing. We know nothing about sound quality yet, and I doubt the integration with my iPhone, iPad, Macbook, and Apple TV will be as easy as it is with the AirPods Pro I’m using.

I can’t see why an Apple user would buy these instead of an AirPods Pro.
