Why would someone choose to use Google Calendar or iCal as part of iCloud as their default calendaring program?
The person has a iPhone 5, iPad (latest version) and new MacBook Air.

This person does share a single calendar (lets call it work) with a person who works with a PC.

I know you can use Google Calendar in iCal.

I use Google calendar and GMail synced with iCal and Mail on my iPhone, iPad and iMac.

I prefer using Google services because it's available on all platforms. If I ever get an Android phone or Blackberry (not likely), a Windows computer (even less likely), or switch to Linux, it's nice to know that I don't have to change my email address.
