Google Chrome extensions

Hello all, how can I be certain that I am installing a verified author extension in google chrome - I have tried finding the Checkmark but can't find it, any help appreciated!
I don't want the extension to "steal" passwords or personal info from my mac.

I couldn't say for sure if the authors are verified (whatever that means) but assuming the extensions are in the official Chrome store, they should be safe. If you have any doubts, contact the Chrome web store support and ask.
