Google Chrome Sluggish/Delayed Typing on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6

Hey guys, lately my Google Chrome has been Sluggish and has Delayed Typing on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6.

When I open it or try to open new tabs there is always a delay. In gmail as well typing an email there is a delay where I type and then all of a sudden all the words start to appear.

Don't know what caused this, I had never had a problem until a month or so ago. I cleared my cache/history and everything. Installed and reinstalled. Even cleaned out my bookmarks thinking that may be it.

Short of upgrading to High Sierra with a clean install not sure what to do? I have a fully specd out Late 2013 Retina Macbook Pro 15 Inch.

Anyone have any solutions?

I just today had a freeze while using Chrome only. I am on 10.12.6 and this is the second time in a few weeks. First the mouse freezes, then the touchpad. Had to hard restart. No idea. Went through logs and found nothing strange.

I went to a new computer even and am on high sierra, I still get lag from Chrome opening, closing, typing...I think its the software
