Go back to your seat. This is just a bug fix version, no new features since a couple of years.

No need to be rude, I wasn't the one who presented this as a new version. I was right in the first place the only new desktop version is on Chrome.

It was a pun on your 'stand corrected', I had absolutely no bad intentions whatsoever. It was a poor pun indeed, my apologies.

Not just a bug fix version. I've been trying it out on both Windows and Mac versions. What I've found so far: high-DPI display support (imagery looks much better now to me and my techs on both built-in and external displays); new video export formats in Movie Maker; a "Web Inspector" tool for KML balloons; a new Repair Tool (available under Help Menu); GE is a 64-bit app now; antialiasing is available now on Macs (finally!); on Windows installations GE defaults to OpenGL mode.

My disappointing bit is still seeing 2-year-old imagery - a flyover of a project site shows my company vehicle there from 2015 but the imagery is tagged by Google as 7/23/16; I'd closed that office on 12/31/15 and it's a summertime image (July '15) in GE. Boo, Google…
