So you wouldn't accept an iOS feature in Android just for the sake of being different?

Like not being able to customise the notifications that are displayed in the notifications centre? Or how it really doesn't integrate well with other products therefore having a weaker ecosystem? How about worldwide availability of services? We still don't have T.V shows or Play store gift cards here.

Apple has pretty much all of that here. Nearly all services work here with Apple products.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but wouldn't that mean a lot of the best features of the Note 4 wouldn't be available? Like all those little tricks you can do with the S-pen, or split screen multitasking, etc.?

Unless, I guess Android adds those features to the 5.0...

Yes, but for me personally that's not really a big loss. Well, I do use the pen sometimes but that's just to have it as a touch entry device, I don't use those TouchWiz features much.

I'd be getting the Note 4 just to have a 5.7"+ (hopefully 6" ) Android device that still had capacitive buttons.

And yeah, split screen really should be a standard feature of Android...compatible with all apps and not just a select few...

What do you mean by this? You mean you want to not have certain apps show up in the Android Notification pull down?

You can do that. You can drag the app you want to "App Info" from the app drawer and then de-select "Show Notifications".

If you mean something else, never mind.

I think he means the quick settings area, like after you hit the button in the top right of the notification center pulldown.

You actually can change it, you need xposed though

I agree it would be nice to be able to change out of the box.

If he means changing the actual apps notification, I dont think you can do that on any os

I'm bad at explaining.

Basically in iOS you can select if an app shows on the lock screen, in banner mode or alert mode or nothing. You can remove certain apps from the notifications(I know Android does this)


But the new Quantum stuff is what in looking foreward too. Running a Sense theme on the PA ROM and it looks great!
