Google maps and Siri?

Hey,

I read in April that Siri + Google Maps should come to Apple Watch. Now it's half a year later - did I miss something or is it still MIA?

The Watch has had both Siri and Google Maps for literally years.

Okay, let me be more exact:
I want to start navigation with Google maps with my watch. When asked to do so, Siri tells me it cannot do that.
The same request works flawlessly with my iPhone 12 mini.
