Google Maps cut off from Windows phones?

maps.google.com never works for me on the iPad - whether I'm using Safari or another browser.
 
I tried to use Google Maps in Safari before the app and it was buggy as ****, I could never make it work properly. In fact the new Google Maps app isn't exactly much better in all honesty. It looks better but I wouldn't rely on it because it's still very buggy.

So it doesn't matter if I buy a new WP8 phone and setup my existing email account?

It does sadly. I posted another reply once looking into it a bit more afterwards. From the end of January, we won't be able to set up any new devices with Exchange Active sync from Google any more.. 🙁

I never really had a problem with either in iOS! Maybe an issue with your device?
