I know that since the 3G came out Google Maps on the iphone will show you exactly where you are and you can see the list of directions, but will it give you voice commands? It seems like such a minor thing to implement, but if it's not there I'm assuming that Apple is preventing it since they make a nice mint by scraping 30% off the top of the expensive GPS apps.

no it does not. you can try to download siri if that might work for you.
