Are there ANY apps out right now that will put Google Maps ETA to home/work in the notification center (Today View) as a widget?

I know the app "ETA" is a great app, but it still just uses Apple Maps ETA's which I find to be about 5-10 minutes off, everywhere I go.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I didn't think Waze used Google for ETA though..I thought that it was its own entity? (I do know Google bought them)

I don't know for sure, but if anything Google probably uses Waze information for their ETA these days. I've certainly been seeing Waze traffic incidents/reports on Google Maps for some time now.

There's an app called ETA that has a widget. It will open directions in either Apple maps or google maps.

Looks like OP looked at that one, but it seems to use Apple's travel time information, rather than Google's.

So you're using Google Maps for directions but you're not looking at it?
The idea is to quickly see travel time to some frequent/pre-set destinations in a widget accessible from notification center.

Guess I missed the ETA part. But when you say apples information is wrong. Does actual travel time differ or the information between the apps? Because for me it right now says 12 min on Apple maps for me to get home and on google it says 9. No idea which one is correct. I've never had a difference as big as 10 min though.

Thanks for the answers. Yeah, I do notice that Google Maps' ETA is more accurate.

Apple Maps for me, overestimates how long it''s going to take to get somewhere. For example, it frequently says that my commute to work is going to be an hour...Google Maps predicts about 48 minutes. Google Maps is spot on.

So, a 12 minute difference is pretty substantial.

I can always just drill into the app...it's no big deal..it would just be nice to have the ETA details there in the notification center....just like frequent locations and Apple Maps does.

Have you gotten a chance to look into Waze to see if the information it provides seems better?
