This is only a re-release of Google Map Maker that was shut down exactly 4 years ago, https://support.google.com/mapmaker/answer/7195127?hl=en. Classic Google.
It simply took Google 4 years to accomplish "and many of its features are being integrated into Google Maps."

Yes people, please fix this small indie company's major product for them, for free.
You could see it likerhat, or you could see it as,: people with lockal knowlage helping other people by improving a widly used maping pruduckt. Yes google benifits, but so does guite a few third parties as well. Personally I call this a win-win.
Errr... hasn’t Google Maps always had this? It certainly used to! I’ve drawn corrections into Google Maps loads of times in the past!
