Google Maps won't let me log in after 2.0 update

Hi guys,

Google Maps (and YouTube and Hangouts) won't let me log in following recent app updates. My password is correct.

Any idea what might be causing this error?

I can't understand why you would even have to log in to use a map (or youtube, for that matter).
