See. Apple is always ahead of the game. Apple has had background blur on Facetime cameras for years and the engineers didn't even have to do anything. It just works. And the cameras will probably continue to have that amazing blur until maybe 2021 ARM MBPs come out and ruin everything. Think Different.

Whenever Google announces new features like this for chat or videoconferencing apps, I’m never sure if said features are going to show up in the one we use at work, because Google has launched, killed, and/or repositioned so many of these services over the years, with some renaming thrown in, so that I can’t really tell which one is which.

Google Meet will soon allow users to add images or a blur effect to backgrounds on video calls, reports 9to5Google.

Is there any way to disable the blue box in my calendar link? It's confusing when I really just want a phone call.

First they should improve audio/video quality. It is terrible compared to zoom.

Yes! I have two weekly happy hours on Zoom and one on Google Meet, and Meet's performance is just poor, while Zoom works really well. Make it work smoothly, then add features!
