It's only $99...not bad! I'm probably going to order one.
I am happy with my Fire TV but if this will run XBMC as good as it does I will sell my Fire TV since this has Chromecasting built in
Edit: Just realized this is WiFi only (no ethernet)... Google whyyyyyy
Well, I have a Roku 3, Chromecast, and AppleTV. Why not add one more to the collection?
8GB of storage.
I might grab this, it needs to run xbmc tho. Been looking at a droidplayer which looks decent, but will grab this if reviews are good and it runs xbmc. Can finally retire the ps3 as dlna media player.
Yeah, that's the one thing stopping me from making this an instant buy.
If I've got a device hardwired to the TV already, I don't want to waste precious wireless bandwidth for watching video online that could just as well stay on the wires.
So that's why Amazon dropped it's Fire TV down to $84 several days ago.
why do you need more storage with this device?? i have minix neo x8h with 16gb and almost "all" is empty..
Well probably because it is also a gaming device, have you not noticed the size of some of these games?
well true if you have few 1gig games..
Not really interested in it. If I end up getting an android streamer it'd be chromecast simply because it costs practically nothing. Even that would probably end up being a waste as Google has hardcoded it's own DNS into chromecast (which makes it a PITA for users outside USA to access US netflix using services like unblock-us).
But this announcement does give me hope that an updated TV with an appstore is possibly on the cards tommorrow. Fingers crossed.
Will it have the Chrome web browser built into the Player?
