It's not a matter of being too big. It's a matter of unbridled, undisciplined expansion.

Unconfirmed reports also indicate Google has acquired the staff of Apple's cafeteria at their Cupertino campus for $10 million. "Nothing to see here" said Eric Schmidt of Google, "we're just looking for new ways to expand our Android platform." Schmidt was giggling too hard for further comment.

I wouldn't be surprised.

So we can count on you to stop commenting on Apple?

The fact is that I HAVE run several multimillion dollar manufacturing companies. I have far more experience in this area than 99% of the people posting here. Not to mention that at the level we're talking about, there's no logic to google's expansions.
And now look at you, reduce to dispensing your vast multimillion dollar expertise on anyone who will listen on MR. I too ran multimillion dollar companies, but as they say on MR, pics or it didn't happen.

I'm glad to see that Google is still up-keeping their campus swimming pool full of $100's. Seems like with google when they want to join a market, they just buy their way into it. Hope it works out.

Semiconductor start-ups are a dime a dozen. Apple just has to talk to ARM corporate and get the right people.

This Android OS vs iPhone OS war is going to be the biggest thing since SEGA vs Nintendo. Two worthy behemoths duking it out for the consumers.

Can't wait! :D
