I had a solution for this the other day, but I forgot to bookmark it. Let me see if I can make sense of it for you...

Open up Preferences in Address Book.
Under the "General" tab, click Exchange.
Type in your user name and password for Google Mail, and then put

in the Outlook Web Access server.

That should set you up. I think it's worked for me to this point, but I haven't been keep a keen eye on it b/c I don't use my Mac address book all that often.

Is it just me or is GoogleSync basically the same thing as MobileMe but free? I dont really see why people would pay for MobileMe when GoogleSync is the same thing except for the push email and its free. Anybody agree?

Sync only calender

Does anyone know if you can sync just your google calender and keep your contacts seperate, so you don't lose any contact information. Thanks.

Yes you can. By not-doing ;) In iTunes, click in the left row on your device iPhone, main window, tab "Infos": Just don't change anything under "Contacts" and it will sync your Contacts like before via USB cable even if you turn on Calendar for being synced via MS Exchange.
