Google to possibly acquire Doubleclick?

I'm not liking this news at all. I hope the FTC rejects Google's attempt to acquire Doubleclick.net, the infamous ad company... The reason I dislike it so much is because Doubleclick was responsible for some of the most intrusive and annoying internet ads I've ever seen.

I thought Google had already agreed to buy DoubleClick for $3.2bn some time ago, kicking MS in the balls who had offered $2bn for it. MS have now gone on to spend $6bn on some other company whose name escapes me right now.

edit: OK, so I was wrong...$3.1bn. Reported by the beeb on 13th April.
