For those who aren't aware, Word Lens was actually the name of the company who invented this technology. Google acquired them a few years ago to implement it into Translate. I have to say, they've done a really good job with the implementation.
If you care about studying the language, I'd recommend using Imiwa instead, and using the Chinese handwriting keyboard to write the kanji yourself. Then you'll actually learn something.
I second this. Imiwa is a great free app. Its only disadvantage is that it hasn't been updated the last years. Therefore I bought another great app, Midori, in addition.
Superior how? Not in the app store or google play. Maybe on a windows phone if anyone even uses that anymore. The point is, Its clear every other company is innovating while apple is focused on thinness and adapters.
Superior, in that it does a better job at... translating? Google has more languages to offer, but in true form, it does none of them well. In the crossover languages Microsoft's offering runs circles around it. For Enterprise use, it's half the cost, the API is better and it's able to fold into the Office suite...

Ok maybe it has your vote, but based on the thousands of reviews and ratings, this app doesn't even rank in the top 10. Half the cost? Google translate is free so...

And based on the reviews, Microsoft Translate reviews better. Based on the thousands of reviews and ratings, in both iOS and Android. Someone already gave you the links to this.
Try to understand what you're reading, rather than reading just enough so you could reply. Or did you use google translate for this?

The point is that Google is innovating and bringing the world together. Apple would never offer anything like this for free. For some reason you decided to chime in by saying MS translator is better. Which has nothing to do with this discussion. Kinda odd, but thanks I guess.
