The thing is...I haven't had any problems with touching search results on my iPad. If I wanted to see my results bigger, I would have pinch zoomed the screen.

This. I am not a fan of the appification of websites. One thing I love about the iPad is the generous screen real estate which allows me to get a good overview of a lot of content.

Update.
Google have finally included a choice...

tablet | classic

at the bottom.

However, you still are forced into tablet mode first though.
Well that's a bit better, but it needs to remember my choice of classic mode for future searches, rather than every single time I revisit Google needing to scroll down and re-select classic mode.

I really fail to see how they can think the tablet mode is an improvement, it looks like it is designed for something with the screen size of an iPhone not an iPad.

Is it just me, or has this new "improved" Tablet layout some strange quircks? I've been using Terra web browser lately and I've noticed some rendering issues on Google search results pages lately; it seems to render the page normally and suddenly a part of the screen goed black. A refresh is then neccesary to render the page correctly. At first, I suspected Terra or even a hardwareproblem with my iPad, but then my wife complained about the same problem while using Atomic Web Browser...

Anyone else experienced this issue? It's exclusively happening on Google search result pages, and sinde Google have enforced this tablet view upon us...
