I have been looking for a Google Voice application for Mac recently, without much luck. It seems there is no official application because Google wants you to use the website. So I check the Mac App Store for a third-party application, there is one but it is $5.99. I would pay that much but would like to know other options first. If someone uses any application that work with Google Voice on a Mac I'd like to know, thanks.

I'd like to know as well. I have the GV Chrome extension but it only send calls to your phone. I want to call from my computer without logging into Gmail.

it's not GV but..

BUT im telling you this since i use + love it!
its.. WHISTLE PHONE!

the biggest con this has is there is an advertisement at the beginning you have to listen to [if it's outgoing].. look into it. others will probably suggest better apps which you exactly want {GV integration] .
What you can do if assign your Whistle Phone number to Google Voice so that when that number [GV] is called, your Whistle Phone number rings.

best of luck!

I'm not sure if it has the exact functionality you're looking for (you can check 😛) but it's for certain a full fledged GV client that runs from the menu bar, and it's fantastic. Hopefully it fits into your lifestyle, because it completely changed the dynamic of using GV for me.

I like VoiceMac. Works very well for SMS and voicemail but does not do VOIP. I can initiate a call and have it ring my cell phone, however.

Downloaded GV Connect dashboard widget. It works but doesn't do VoIP. Not really liking it but it'll work until I have to try out those others. Thanks for the replies.

It isn't a separate app but the GV extension for Chrome is pretty good. Seems like you can call using Google Talk with the extension but I haven't tried it
