    Google has a new site, World Wonders, that uses their street view interface to let you virtually tour 132 world heritage sites in 18 countries.

    I went to all that trouble and expense to visit Kyoto's Ryōan-ji Temple in person, when I could have just clicked through a visit from home!

    OK, so it's not the same as being there, but it's fun to explore. I probably won't be at the Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc anytime soon, so I might as well look around this way. Each site has an information page so you know what you're looking at.

    Wow, this looks great! Thanks for the link. They even have presentations, background information, and lesson plans in PDF format. Cool!

    That's a cool site. I'll check it out, starting with Shark Bay.

    Ah, I've been there. I didn't even know it was a World Heritage Site. :p


    All I remember is that the beach, and the snorkelling, is good. ;)
