This still works for me in Google Translate on iPhone: "Bill Gates hates Windows RT so hard with" (he now praises the iPad).

Interesting that none notice the .com.mx topdomain and that you are not logged in to google at that site. It's just all fake.

Nope. Not sure why the .mx is on that one link, but removing it still works. Try it yourself, navigate from the main google site and you'll hear it, bizarre but very real.

Interestingly, the voice simulates taking a breath before the "bug phrase" but not at commas.

The bug doesn't show up here. Could it be a difference between the American English and the British English voice? If so, how does one enable the American English one?

.mx is just the ending for Mexican web sites. So, the site you're looking at is just Google Mexico.

Siri has become self aware and she's out taking revenge ;)

Haven't laughed this hard all day!! Thanks GOOGLE!!

Translategate... Lets see if fandroids demand an apology from Google because Google isn't praising an Android product!

As in demanding equal opportunity free advertising?

To TIM: Merry belated Christmas, and wishing you a happy, healthy and iPad-filled year, from Larry and Sergey; Eric is still too pissed to sign this card, but he'll come around....

Google senior executive Eric Schmidt went to North Korea to meet with the leaders of the rogue communist nation, but his trip ended in disaster; detained in a prison near Pyongyang, he now praises the iPad.

A mole is working at Google.
Pretty darn funny.

Not surprising. Many Google employees love their Apple products.

Kinda like we already know there are a good deal of Microsoft employees who love their Apple gadgets, and yet they still risk the ire and wrath of Microsoft Management when they still smuggle their Apple products to work.

Epic Fail. This spells the end for Google. Google is doomed.

Only writing this as a joke because this is the exact thing many iHaters on this board would write if this was an Apple bug. But since it was a Google bug, none of the iHaters are attacking Google. It's simply 'funny'

Ever hear of viral advertising? Maybe it's just a silly intentional bug to get people interested and to try Google's text to speech!

Seems fixed now.

On another note, I just realised how much better Google's voice is to Siri.

Apple really bungled big time.

If anything, this little publicity stunt will have iPhone and Mac users realising how crappy Siri is now... if they hadn't already.
