Hello guys. I'm on the $60 ATT GoPhone plan which gives me 2gb/month of LTE (or whatever's available) and unlimited talk and text.

Last week I noticed that I'm now able to pick up FaceTime over cellular, and today I realized that the mobile hotspot is not locked anymore.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thank you

Thats correct, the $60 plan now gives you 2.5GB (vs 2GB in the past) and allows HotSpot + FaceTime http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/gophone-plans.html

should've looked there!

Thank you, that's pretty cool!

Np, its a great plan, I just couldn't justify spending $60 [$54 via Callingmart.com] when I can spend $40ish on cell phone service, I primary use data and only make calls about 20-30hours/month and for that ST does well for me :)

The best thing about this plan is that it gets speeds/treatment same as AT&T PostPaid accounts, service is exactly the same and Ping is exactly the same giving full unthrottled data speeds.

I used to have Straight Talk too, but I was being throttled every month after 1gb and had no LTE.

I see things have changed now. Can you use personal hotspot?

No, still cannot use hotspot but LTE is good -- speeds are good as well. Ping 100-200ms varies by location.

And it seems like ST raised their data to 3GB a month instead of 2.5.

ST had set it to 3GB when they set Net10 to 2.5GB [or at least within a month or two they did] and I think they did that because when it used to be "UNLIMITED" everyone always said 100MB/day and if you used more they would cut off the service. So i think they just took that calculation into hand and set the limit at 3GB. Not bad still, I have not used more than 2.5GB in a month for past year and I use my phone daily but I'm also in range of WiFi most of the time.
