In my house
6S+,my error. Before they took it in for battery replacement, they ran the diagnosis and found no issues. I knew the battery was at 89% and it was verified and I was told it had only 177 charging cycles since new. The tech said when the charging cycles go higher than 1,000,the battery starts to deteriorate so I was in great shape there. My phone was flawless on the outside also.
They said return in an hour and it would be ready. I return and had to wait about 10 minutes and as the tech appears,I see he has a box in his hand. Not a good sign. They had somehow broken the camera and I received a replacement with a 90 day warranty. I'm fine with that. And I verified the new battery shows 100%,so I may wait another year to replace it with an XR.
Kudos to Apple.

Might have been good to include "and replaced it" at the end of the thread title.

Glad this went well for you.

Recently had Apple repair my retina Macbook Pro for battery issues. After back and forth 3 times, they've managed to break a key, break a fan/cooling system component, and incorrectly reinstall screws. Hoping they offer a full replacement at this point.

Of course unlike many third party shops where oops well let's hide it and glue it back together and later say no the customer broke it after we're not covering it. If Apple breaks it they replace it no trouble.

Same happened to me earlier this year. Took my 6+ in for the battery replacement. When I picked it up the phone rebooted itself as I was walking out the door. As soon as it booted it it rebooted again. It just constantly rebooted. So I turned around and walked back in and showed them. They no longer had any 6+'s so they gave me a 6s+. Not to bad for $29

Same happened to the guy next to me at the Genius Bar the other day. The genius was like „lol ... ooops I broke the phone while replacing the battery but here is a new one. We got insurance for those cases so it’s fine“

I had similar problems once. Apple ended up buying it back at MSRP so it is worth asking!

I had a similar issue but at a UBreakIFix store.
I took my iPhone 7 in to get the charging port repaired. Gonna trade it in to take advantage of Sprint free XS with a trade in deal.
When I went back to get the phone, manager came out and said they broke the front camera. And replaced it 4 times with no luck.
He said they would make it right and asked what value Sprint was giving me, when I told him about the free phone deal, his face dropped and he said “that’s a good deal” and then said, don’t worry, he would make it right.
So either he is giving $1000 minus the cost of the charge port repair so I can pay off my phone or depending on if sprint will allow it, a replacement iPhone 7 that I can turn in. With a guarantee that that it will pass the Sprint inspection.

I didn't want to make the title too long. Sorry I couldn't please you with MY thread title. Move along.

Please.
Don’t feign insult & pretend like that isn’t an exact mimic of sleazy “shock & awe” click-bait titles that fake news outlets use to get hits...

You know “Got BRAND NEW phone for $29!”, wouldn’t have been longer, yeah?

Simmer down. Your thread title made it seem like they did nothing about it.
Don't tell ME what to do. Your interpretation of MY thread title is unimportant. It is exactly as I wanted and again,it was already long enough.
[doublepost=1538079597][/doublepost]
The title as worded just seemed to imply something different, that's what I was simply pointing out. (Seems like I'm not the only one who thought that.) Not sure where any passive aggressiveness is coming from.
Don't let the perceived " passive aggressiveness" worry you.Again, not 1,but 2 perceptions on your part that matter little to me. Move along and passive aggressiveness gave me the biggest laugh of the day so far.
[doublepost=1538079855][/doublepost]To the whiners in this thread that have nothing better to do than to complain about a thread title. Please find something, anything that warrants your attention besides this. If a thread title concerns you THIS much, seek help outside this forum regarding priorites in your life. Seriously.

I haven't feigned anything and have no interest in a click-bait title. Where did you get that thought from? News outlets? My god man, what are you going on about? You have serious issues that your conspiracy mental state that you need to deal with. In your 6 weeks here, you should be investigated for continued use here.

Refurbs, obviously
Yes,just like the ones you purchase from Apple. Mine was in mint condition as was the one they gave me for replacement. And as stated earlier,I have a 90 day warranty and a battery that is 100% as opposed to 89% remaining life.
