I came from a 2011 17" MacBook Pro. I got a 2.2 Ghz 15.6" model with a 1 tb SSD and 16 gigs of RAM. I do like the machine. The keyboard is easy to get adjusted to, no BridgeOS error yet (and it has slept a lot), and no crackling of the sound. Regardless, there is one thing I do miss. What is it? The way the power cord would wrap around the charger. It had the two little clips that popped out of the charger and I would just wrap it and be done with it at the end of the day. Now I just have it wrapped loosely in my backpack. Annoying, but whatever. It's a great machine. So light.....

I really like the wrap-around cord but I find that a lot of people I know pull the cord way too tight when wrapping the cord around the "wings" and the rubber cover is torn at the point where the power cable enters the Magsafe charger.

Although I miss Magsafe, I like the fact that I won't have to buy a whole new charger just because the tiny wires in the power cable are broken.

Or buy one of the many add on bands that prevented the core from bending where it went into the charger. $15 bucks for a chunk of rubber and a Popsicle stick just added insult to the poor cord design

This was my biggest complaint with MagSafe. If the charger cable wore out (which it easily can if you travel with it a lot), you had to pay a whopping $60-80 depending on the model you had. Now it’s a simple $30 for a new USB-C cable. That I can tolerate.
