I am trying to install mountain lion on my mac pro 1.1 (now 2.1).
The gentleman who wrote a walk through said.

Here is my Extra Folder. Download it (place in the root of BOOT).

Does he mean place it in the partition? or how to I place the folder in 'root of boot'?
Here is the link if you want to verify the context

Yes, the root of the BOOT partition is what you're calling "the partition".

In that case, the "Extra" folder is just placed in that partition, not in any (sub) folder on that partition.

The "root" (root directory, etc.) is the top-most directory.

Or you can think of the file system on the partition as a tree, with the root of the file system being at the bottom, and each folder as a trunk/branch of the tree, and files as leaves. You can't get any lower than the root!

Good luck with the install!

I must have done something Wrong
there are 3 options to start one saying mac pro HD , one saying Windows, the other EFI boot (or so)
and when I pick EFI boot, it will give me this error
boot0:test
boot0:test
boot0:error
