It came with the Canon 50 1.4 but I thinking about selling it and just using the 50 1.8 STM. I used to use the 55-250 STM on my old camera and loved that lens so I need a good zoom. I could use some recommendations on older or used lenses to be a replacement and I would also like other lenses recommendations. I am not interested in buying new or paying ridiculous prices, I will be hunting for deals.

You can find older/used lenses at shopgoodwill.com. You will need to check weekly as their stock changes. Sometimes you can find very good pricing on lenses. In your case, in the search bar type - Canon lenses

The 70-300mm f4-5.6 (not L or DO) is a decent relatively lightweight lens with similar reach to the 55-250mm. Version 1 can be picked up used relatively cheaply but the v2 is an improvement but obviously more expensive.

i used the v1 on a 6D and was generally happy with the results for the price.

There are numerous EF lenses that while older still produce great IQ. The newer lenses incorporate IS (image stability), but you will save a bunch of money buying some of the older "non-IS" L lenses.

Almost all my lenses are L, and I purchased them long after the IS versions hit the market. I still need a 600mm L, but so far all the bases are covered up to 400mm.

-100mm Macro USM (non-L)
-135mm L (amazing little lens)
-200mm f2.8 L (black lens with a red ring in front, and nothing but great IQ)
-70-200mm L (great IQ)
-400mm L (another good one)
