The text says "To thank you we added 2GB of Bonus Data to your account - you don't have to do a thing. The Bonus Data is used first…"

Looks like AT&T does this at times, did anyone else get one recently? I have 2gb mobile share with just one iPhone, so evidently now they have doubled that. Not bad… the only disclaimer seems to be that you may lose it if you change plans.

As I read it, they doubled my plan at no cost and it will remain in effect unless I change plans. A google search found similar posts on other sites from last summer. Now I never even use 2gb, so maybe they think its a way to give me a warm fuzzy feeling at no cost. :D

That's nice to get an extra 2 gb of data on the individual plan and I'm sure it could come in handy at some point.

They did this to me maybe two months ago - 3gigs to 6 at no charge. In effect forever unless I change plans. not sure how or why - but yay!

Makes the arm and leg I pay them not seem so bad.

Wow if I got that it would give me more incentive to stay with AT&T because at this rate I will be going to T Mobile when my contract ends!

Just contact them.. Speak with resolution department.

If your not happy with your service I'm sure they will try to help to avoid you going elsewhere.

I've got the 20gb family plan for 100... Originally it was 10gb, but they doubled it.

Interesting idea. I'll give it a try.

I'm on the 20GB/$100 retention plan. With my work discount on top of that, it's a pretty good deal and almost matches everything else out there. That being said, I'm always keeping an eye out for new deals and promotions (like the Canada Roaming Bonus), so if/when you get your bill, OP, can you share how your bonus data is delineated? Did they just double your data amount or is a per-line bonus?

(I recall in the old days, there was a promo code that you could add that would put 200 anytime minutes on a particular line, even if you were doing a family pool of 550/700/etc. minutes)

If you ask nicely, they should be able to just add it - the key is to make sure you're at Rententions and it doesn't hurt to mention T-Mobile or switching in general. You can say that you heard about the $100/20GB or $80/10GB plans from a coworker or friend.

Thanks. Will Try.

I got the notice towards the beginning of a billing cycle so I have not seen a bill yet. I really don't understand how the info will help you, but here's what it looks like in the AT&T app. As I posted above, I only have one phone so I don't see how "per line" would be relevant.

It doesn't break out rollover and bonus minutes, but based on the previous bill I can see that 1.1GB is rollover and 2.0GB is the bonus. Add the 2.0GB data plan and you get the 5.1GB total shown below.

Thanks - sorry I didn't catch you were on a single-line account. I thought I'd double-check on the notation and appreciate the screen shot. I haven't seen the "bonus" data like that before, so it certainly is quite interesting. For those on the promo plans, it just treats total (20GB vs. 15GB) as your plan, with no bonus noted.
