Got my 1st Mac...

Instead of Safari, use Leopard Webkit. Visually identical to Safari; the only differences being the increased performance.

Here's the link to Webkit, as MisterKeeks said, it is a good Safari alternative and based off of Webkit like Safari, but it's faster and still receiving updates while Safari for PPC hasn't been updated since version 5.

Webkit helps out tremendously .. Ty for the info! Now I can play games on MSN.. Lol not for me but my girlfriend

Well as I said its my first Mac. So I'm not sure of the limitations it's old so probably just emails, web etc..

It can handle even more. I just edited a full HD 1080 video with iMovie and encoded as 1080 HD video in less than 20 minutes. Not so fast but it was easy

I got my 2GB RAM (2x 1GB sticks) from NewEgg for $50 and it shipped same day and worked perfectly.

Don't think so little of your PowerBook. It's a great machine that can handle a lot more than just emails. Enjoy it.

A friend gave me a PowerBook g4..
1.5 ghz with 512 ram.. Anyone have recommendation for a site selling ram? I just upgraded the os to 10.5.8 runs ok.. However I can tell it really needs the ram.. Thanks

Congrats! I too just got a Mactop, an iBook G4 1.42 maxed out with 1.5 gigs of ram.

Newegg is great, and OWC ( Other World Computing ) specializes in Mac stuff.
