Hi! My dad bought a new pc and brought me his late 2009 2.9ghz dual core due 24" iMac.
I work with video and I wouldnt mind having a desktop for long renders and stuff. I'm thinking about buying an ssd and upgrading the ram. Is there anything else you think I should add? It doesn't have usb3 or thunderbolt right?

Thanks!

SSD is a must, upgrading the ram is a maybe (depending on how much is already installed I guess). As for USb3/TB you are correct the 2009 iMac does not have either.

Agreed. Unfortunately, your upgrade options on a 7 year old imac. Do the RAM if able and the ssd.
