Upstate NY . Was FL.
Just glanced over to my iPhone 12P max and it was restating. Never happened before, sign of bad things to come ? Had it since Jan. Cheers

Are you sure it wasn't an automatic update?

No, I have auto updates off. Download only. The phone was plugged in charging slowly via original charger and cable and wasn’t even warm. It was right next to me and I noticed the power on Apple logo . I did after reboot check to see if auto update install was enabled which it wasn’t and also noticed there was an update to also download and install which I did.

That's odd then. I've owned a good number of iPhones and never had this happen to my knowledge. I'd say as long as it doesn't happen frequently and there are no other issues, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Not sure if it’s related. But I’ve been using the same charger since new. A genuine iPad 12W charger, it’s relatively slow but not an issue for me. However, I’ve noticed the iPhone becoming rather warm when it’s nearing 80% charge level. I’m not using the phone when it’s charging either. I don’t remember but I think it never got warm before.

Just did it again. A few mins of it being on charger again. Phone wasn’t warm or being used whilst the restart occurred. However there was some apps being updated.
