I came out of a restaurant last night that was next to a sprint store. I went in to ask if they has a X on display. She said she did and handed me their DEMO that was not yet tethered.

The screen and colors looked good to me. Unit feels super solid. The side mount home button feels weird and after being an iPhone since iP4, this is the first one where the operation is not straight forward to me.

The swiping up to close the app or operation is awkward for me. I hope they generate a virtual home button on the screen in an update. I do not like the swipe up to close. I close to many apps in the course of a day.

Phone was not hooked up to service so I could not test call clarity, I am a lefty and got nailed with antenna gate LOL. I also could not set up face ID because the app would not open. I think its locked out on all demo units but not 100% sure.

After playing with the X along side the 8, I am not sure Ill order the X. I was all set to order the X as soon as I saw how face ID worked and I really wanted to love the X, but after seeing it, using it the face ID is the least of my concerns. I am pretty sure I am going to stick with my iP7 for a while and see how the X develops. I sure hope they add a virtual home button.

You can make a virtual home button now in the Accessibility menu. Asistive touch. iPhone has had this for years.
