    Cheers :D

I was pretty much expecting the worst, Though i didnt as much as i did with the first one that came to my door.

Its a beautiful machine (when it works) lol

IM surprised i got a w53 one though! I was thinking i would have gotten a newer one, week02 perhaps. but none the less its working and im happy!

now i'm just trying to figure out how do i format my external COMPLETELY! it says its formatted but still 560mb used? :(

I too have gotten a replacement i5-week 53. My previous iMac had the Seagate HD with the "click of death". Rather than swap the HD Apple handed me a new machine.

If the yellow is there it takes a better eye than mine to see it. HD is quiet.

And TimeMachine made the process completely painless.

Probably because they knew that just fixing the hard drive would not make you a happy customer.

Seems Apple AY have learned its lesson, yeah?

    doubtful...

As there have been reports of week 53+ iMacs coming with yellow tinge. More likely just a lucky one here to receive a good one.

Truth. The yellow tinge monster is still alive and well.

    Ya you guys were lucky.

Got a week 53 here, flickering/blackouts a couple of minutes after start up, but a simple restart cures the problem. What the heck is that? It's just annoying.

So do I risk exchanging it for a new one that might have the same problem or even worse such as yellow tints and dead pixels as well?

    Damn hassle.
