Picked up a Space Black Titanium Series 6 today. I really wanted to buy a white ceramic edition but Apple for whatever reason decided to discontinue that AGAIN  I'm liking it so far, but I don't notice too much of a weight difference between my S4 SS and the S6 titanium. Also, the thing is a fingerprint/oil magnet!!

See attached photos for my unboxing, and comparison photos to my white ceramic S3 and black stainless S4. I skipped the S5 since it was basically the same as S4 + always on display.

I also compared the new Graphite color Milanese loop to the older space black Milanese loop. Not a big difference, just lighter in color.

It's amazing how different light effects the perceived watch colour.
That SBTi looks silver there and I know it's not.

Thanks for the Milanese loop comparison pic, not long bought the black for my S5 SBSS and am interested to see what it'll look like on my Graphite SS coming tomorrow instead of the graphite I bought it with.

Looks like the included sport band comes with both S/M and M/L portions?

That's a plus since the website suggests they just come with one of the two lengths.

Is that the dark grey sport band that comes with the titanium?

It's a dark grey sport band ONLY included/sold with the SBTI. It has a matching SBTI pin as well. The natural Ti color comes with a lighter gray sport band with Ti pin.

I don't have my S6 yet, but the S5 came with both sizes of the included gray sport band (S/M and M/L).

Which one looks better in person? Plain Titanium or space black?
Honestly I think I still like the black stainless steel more. I’m sure the titanium will grow on me. I’m still bitter cause I was expecting to buy a white ceramic edition again lol so part of me is not fully satisfied with either 🤣

Yeah it comes with both sizes. I think all of the stainless steel and edition watches came with both sizes if I remember correctly.

Thanks, yes they included both sizes last year for the exclusive band.

The confusion comes from Apple's "What's in the Box" showing only the M/L band for the 44mm, and showing only the S/M band for the 40mm.

Nice to see the confirmation that they're still including both. 👍

Thanks for the pics, I was undecided between the Ti and the silver SS. I went with the SS in the end and I think I made the right choice, I don't think the Ti looks too good outside of Apples official promotional images unfortunately.

As someone who had the original Ti (natural) almost a year, it actually looks way BETTER in person than on Apple's site or in photos.

Shucks! Once again Apple’s color names are misleading and Space Black is not Space Black anymore :-( Makes me wonder whether the SB Ti is worth to wait 4 weeks longer and pay 100 more (well, not exactly 100, but I don’t really need e.g. the power adapter or the second band). Don’t like to lose the look of my SBSSS4 ... *sigh*

Thanks for the photos - really helpful!

Well the only Space Black Stainless Steel S6 is a Hermès, and I’m sure it’s true to the name.

Doubt anyone will confuse Graphite for Space Black. So I’m unsure about the not anymore comment meaning.

Ti SB is a little softer due to the brushed texture but still nice.

What I meant is that there’s a Titanium Space Black, which def. looks differently from the Space Blacks on Series 3-5. And Apple is infamous for using a name like ”Space Grey” over multiple generations of - say - an iPhone/iPad/MacBook or varying product lines (Apple Watch / iPhone), when in fact there different shades of grey, all marketed under the very same name.

If Apple called it only “grey” or “black”, it would be less confusing. However, if a color is given a dedicated name, I as customer expect to get the same color for all products with this moniker. After all, we’re not talking about fixing a damaged car, trying to mimic the original color with all the influences of weather conditions and wear and tear. It‘s about new products under more or less controlled mass production conditions.

Duff-Man says...thx for the pix - I have the same titanium/milanese combo on order, looking forward to my first jump into the Apple Watch world...oh yeah!

Interesting to see the S4 stainless space black vs. S6 titanium space black. Seems a brushed titanium.

I’ve had the S2 and S4 stainless space black and happy with them. I don’t know about the S6 titanium space black and the stainless graphite too. I have to see them in person to tell. I may hold on my S4 space black until S7.

I am a fan of the stainless space black because it is not flashy.

These pictures make me a bit concerned about the Titanium Space Black S6 I ordered. I was expecting the same look as the S5, but based on these pictures the finish looks noticeably lighter than last year's SB Ti.

Did you receive it and how is it?
Yep I did - the lighting can definitely make the color look a bit different, but it is absolutely more black than gray.

That looks good but I was hoping for SS space black on the series 6 because I’ve had series 2 & 4 in space black and liked them.

If I were to choose I’d definitely have the black stainless based purely on aesthetics. I don’t like white watches so the ceramic has never appealed. Like the metallic look and both the SS and titanium look great, not that I would buy them new though.

I got the SBTi as an upgrade from my SSSB S5. Absolutely loving it so far, feels lighter and I like the brushed dark grey colour too. Heart rate and GPS are more accurate (even with cellular on) and the battery is lasting far longer.

Great upgrade so far!
