Hi, I got my SE 2 today. Surprise. It will pair only with iOS 16. Must have missed Lilliputian letters saying so. My iPhone 11 runs on iOS 15 smooth, fast and with ton of battery life. Again, anxiety got me. Plus, so bad reviews (battery wise) of Watch OS 9. Can't get into my head to upgrade to iOS 16. Should it be "WTF" or "Send everything back" ? Are there other people in my situation?

Were those people on the beta for Watch OS9 or the final release? I've had no issues with battery life on my Series 6 (which is practically the same as your SE2). Also had no issues with iOS 16 on my iPhone 13 Pro.

This is actually the first release in a while that I've downloaded day 1, since I find the new features incredibly useful.

Okidou. My old fears of upgrading have taken control. This morning Saturday, in a few hours I will be using my SE2. I didn't buy it to "watch" it. It's brand new so it's probably not a beta of Watch OS9. Neither iOS 16. Thanks for the gentle kicking in the derrière. ;)

I wasn't planning to upgrade my 13PM to ios16 but since I ordered the AW Ultra I did a few days ago, no issues for me with ios16. Also upgraded my S7 to watchOS 9 right afterwards and no issues with battery life either, it's very similar to what is was before. Be brave and go for it ...

Thanks for that and …. Damn! My new Watch SE comes this week. I never usually update my iPhone until xx.1 updates. Guess I’m going to have to face into it earlier than usual 😬

Hope it went smoothly and having fun now with your new watch?

It went smoothly for sure. iOS16 on my 11 is as fast as iOS15 and as snappy too. As for the battery life, hard to tell right now but it looks like it's going be the same too. But I'm not that thrilled about this new iOS. I don't embark in the craziness of having a customizable home screen. I have never used the home screen that much anyway. As for the widgets, slide left and here they are. To me, the use of the same pattern on two pages is irrelevant. But I may be missing something here. So, explain it to me please.
